Non fiction writer & journalist Lizizie Stark is preparing her fourth book, provisionally titled Big Crone Energy. The book tells the story of powerful women of a certain age who embody the archetype of the “crone” by looking at specific women over the age of 60, activists, artists, fashionistas, dancers, pot growers, death doulas, and more. In other words, old women who are done caring what other people think, ready to double down on her own fierce joy, and because of that, are powerful enough to make fascist governments quake in their goose-stepping boots. That is the case of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, on whom Lizzie has been reporting during her trip around Buenos Aires and Córdoba.
