Back in 2004, a 16 year-old Lionel Messi, still largely unknown to the world, was already changing amateur football forever. A VHS compilation of the young prodigy’s best moments travelled across continents and ultimately played a key role in bringing him into the Argentine National Team before Spain could move to nationalize him. The rest is history.
We delivered end-to-end local production services including interviews and recreation footage that helped shape the documentary’s visual narrative and bring the story to life.
We provided support throughout the project development with our own gear and our full local crew. Our Head of Production, together with our Director of Photography, helped rethink and adapt key scenes to ensure the script remained feasible from a production standpoint, while our Art Director led the set design and visual styling for the recreation sequences.
We also handled logistics coordination, location scouting, casting, and equipment rental.
This project spanned more than a year of work. During the first stage, the director travelled to carry out the shoot, while for the second phase we filmed independently, leading the production production on ground.
