Puerto San Julian is located in Santa Cruz Province, at the Atlantic Ocean in Patagonia and right in front of the Malvinas/Falklands Islands.
This tiny town has 8 abandoned hidden hangers, from where a total of 54 military missions left to attack the British war vessels during Malvinas War. At that time the hangars were completely covered with sand and invisible from the air. The setting is dramatic and comes with strong heroic and painful memories for the Argentines.
We have a long lasting collaboration with Like a Shot, an Argonon subsidiary company. Since 2018 we have filmed remotely for them in different locations around Argentina to make possible some of the episodes of this amazing documentary series.
In this particular episode, we have researched the story, pitched it and got the commission! We have provided pre production, logistics, on field fixer, gear rental and local crew to travel to Santa Cruz, gather the footage and send it to be edited.
