The Dream Factory is an ESPN investigative documentary that examines Argentina’s world-renowned youth soccer system. While it has produced some of the greatest players in the sport, the film reveals a darker reality in which young athletes pursuing their dreams can face neglect, unsafe living conditions, abuse, and a lack of oversight. Led by Steve Fainaru, the documentary follows one player’s journey while exploring the systemic failures behind one of the world’s most celebrated football cultures.
Over eight years, Fixer Argentina supported ESPN’s The Dream Factory. Our work included extensive research, location scouting, nationwide logistics, travel coordination, interview production, permit management, local crew, equipment, and access to key contributors, including judges, prosecutors, politicians, football officials, current and former players, and other essential sources. From the earliest stages of the investigation through the final production, we delivered end-to-end support.
